The 37th Psalm instructs us to trust in the Lord, delight in the Lord, commit your way to the Lord, and rest or be still before Him. However, with the pace of life we all endure and the schedules we face daily, a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ and those precious moments with our families in devotions cannot always be nurtured. Cultivating and maintaining the rich and intimate daily devotion we deeply desire requires discipline.
That’s where we can help with this devotional booklet!
Over the next few weeks, I ask that you mark out a sacred time and that you spend quality time before the Lord in reading, prayer and meditation each day. This is foundational to nurturing a healthy spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ.
Imagine what could happen if we all, with wholehearted dedication, stripped away distractions so that we could devote meaningful time to intimate connections with Jesus Christ. I wonder what could and would happen if we reprioritized? The possibilities are beyond our wildest imaginations! Unity plus prayer is a potent blend of apostolic ingredients that could cause us, together, to go to a whole new level in God.
“...if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19
“Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
If you already have a time of daily devotion, I ask that you incorporate this tool. This devotional is designed to ignite and strengthen spiritual and family relationships in a way that will lead to increased sensitivity to the voice of God, a revival in church growth, and greater financial generosity. By going through this devotional journey as a church, we are aligning our hearts with the heartbeat of God to see our vision become a reality.
If you do not currently have a dedicated devotional time as an individual or family, I encourage you to use this opportunity to add greater depth to your relationship with Jesus Christ. Solid Rock Church is committed to a marvelous, God-given vision to build and reach thousands of souls in our community, and we are acutely aware of our dependence on God - our source for all our resources.
It is my hope and confidence that we will all commit to spend time in prayer and hear God’s voice as it relates to how much He will have us sacrificially give in our IMAGINE stewardship campaign. Our obedience to God and His vision for Solid Rock Church will be abundantly rewarded.
May you and your family experience a richer fellowship with each other and with our Lord Jesus!
